Behind the name

The name esero is inspired by a beautiful lake in North Macedonia. The Macedonian word for lake is ezero, I swapped the Z for an S and that is how the name esero was created! My family has grown up by this lake for generations and I have been lucky enough to spend many of my childhood summers there. Its beauty has inspired me in so many different ways, creating my love for swimwear and the environment.

Behind our fabrics

Our swimwear is made from econyl which is 100% recycled nylon made from fishing nets and other ocean waste, it is then mixed with elastane to create the final Carvico Vita fabric which is 78% recycled PA ( nylon ) and 22% EA ( elastane ). This mixture of materials creates an extremely durable fabric whilst still reusing and reducing waste.

”Vita is versatile, hyper-resistant, thin, stretch, soft and breathable: a unique mix of muscular compression and comfort. Thanks to its innovative construction, it is twice as resistant to chlorine and suntan creams and oils than competitors’ fabrics.”

Behind the founder

My name is Sandra, I am the founder and designer of esero!

I launched esero in 2021 to contribute to and help grow the slow fashion movement.

After my mum taught me how to use a sewing machine in 2020, one of the first things I tried to sew was swimwear. After weeks of trial and error, I made my first swimsuit!

Less than a year later, I launched esero

Three years later, esero has grown tremendously. Still staying true to my roots, I have managed to grow, love and nurture esero throughout my early 20s. Esero and everything it stands for has stayed a huge part of my life.

Behind our packaging

We use home compostable zero-waste mailers or recycled paper boxes/mailers to ship our products in. Our hero pack mailers are 100% home compostable meaning that they don’t leave behind any microplastics. They feature a double adhesive strip so that you can reuse the bag after receiving your order in case of an exchange. Our recycled boxes and mailers can also be easily reused either for returns or to keep household items organized.

We only use compostable liners when needed and recycled thank you cards for all of our customers.
